Kathleen Ertmer combines a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 16 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. When she framed her first home at age 25, her love of construction began. Before her career in construction, Kathleen started her first company, Wash on Wheels. She sold her company in 1991 and decided to further her education. After graduating from UW - Oshkosh, she began her construction career as an accountant for a large multi-family construction company. The following year she was approached by a large home builder, Andrew Homes, to become a part of their team. She became Operations Manager and Cost Accountant for the company over the next 10 years. She was involved with building homes from specifications, to bidding and pricing the projects, project management, vendor contracts, designing homes and working with the customers throughout the building process. In 2004, Kathleen founded Accent Homes and began building contract homes, and working on restoration and remodeling projects. In 2003-2004, she was presented with Builder of the year award from the Winnebago Home Builders Association. In 2006, she designed and built a 26 lot development in the Town of Rushford. She has a vision for building homes for customers who have difficulty envisioning what they really want in their home and assisting them with the selection process to make the building experience a pleasant one and not a stressful one.
Kathleen has also been active with assisting her husband in his business over the past 8 years in consulting and selling construction repair products to contractors across the state. She also worked for Habitat for Humanity as the ReStore Manager, helping the organization grow its presence in the community. In 2014, she acted as Project Manager in the construction of 2 Habitat Homes.
She is a Licensed Real Estate Broker, Licensed Dwelling Contractor and is a Past President and Board Member of the Winnebago Home Builders Association. She is currently a member of the Appleton REI.
Kathleen moved to Wisconsin with her parents in 1973. Kathleen and her husband, Roy Magnuson, reside in Oshkosh and have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. She enjoys helping people realize their dreams, whether it is building a new home, adding an addition, remodeling an existing home or purchasing or selling a home. She looks forward to working with the Beiser Team in assisting clients in purchasing or selling their homes.
